This sequence describes the kidney transplant procedure, starting with a lumbotomy incision of the renal compartment, after administering general anesthesia. Then, the surgeon places the transplanted kidney in the iliac fossae, while preserving the old atrophied one.

To connect it to the recipient's body, the vein, and artery are related to the external iliac vessels using micro-anastomosis. The ureter is then connected to the bladder. Finally, the surgeon ties the tissues in the operated area with surgical sutures.
