Hisar Intercontinental Hospital Istanbul: overview

Hisar Intercontinental Hospital is a private multispecialty hospital founded in 2005 in Ümraniye, on the Asian side of Istanbul, Turkey. It holds JCI (Joint Commission International) accreditation and welcomes both local and international patients.

Location and access

• About 20 minutes from Sabiha Gökçen International Airport;
• About 5 minutes from the Bosphorus;
• A heliport on site, which can be used for patient transfers.

Infrastructure

The hospital covers an area of about 35,000 square meters and has:

• 170 beds, with single patient rooms;
• 7 operating rooms, equipped for specialized surgery, including cardiovascular surgery;
• 36 intensive care beds;
• A medical imaging department with a 640-slice computed tomography (CT) scanner;
• A hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBO) unit;
• Clinical laboratories supporting diagnosis.
